Bleakest villa in electric blue and a
sun-parched lawn with a heart of palm,
the sunrise twice each day,
the window at the west faces the bay
Bleakest villa in electric blue and the
patio tiles are stripped away,
sand with silver plume,
covering the dune, in wake of noon,
I've been wilting away at the bay
It's such a shame to settle down because
I wrought my passion for the future tense,
the present that once was an impedance,
is out of mind on the balcony over the bay
This isn't what I thought it would be,
at least now I can find the time to
make up for sleepless nights and
I'll drift off tonight
